Wilfrido Camarena, 52, of Modesto, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor drunken driving on Monday evening, June 29 after he was stopped for speeding.
At 7:02 p.m., Officer Kiashira Ruiz saw Camarena’s white pickup speeding and run a posted stop sign in the area of Pecos Avenue and South Seventh Street. Camarena was stopped and appeared heavily intoxicated. He admitted running the stop sign and consuming four beers. Camarena also failed a standardized field sobriety test. An evidentiary breath test revealed a blood alcohol content three times over the legal limit.
Camarena was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for misdemeanor DUI.
