A family argument in a home in the 1900 block of Central Park Way ended with an assault case and arrest on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 21.

Ceres Police were dispatched to the fight at 12:58 p.m. Officers learned that Tyree Louis Williams Jr., 23, of Modesto engaged in an argument with a family member that escalated to violence when he grabbed a relative by the neck and lifted her off the ground. Tyree’s mother intervened and was struck in the face by Tyree’s elbow.  He fled the scene but was apprehended the following day when he returned to the home. Williams was booked for assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury on a person.
