A Ceres woman had her grandson arrested on Monday afternoon after he hurt her physically during a fight in the 2500 block of Don Pedro Road.

Police were called at 1:46 p.m. to the home where the grandmother requested that grandson Rolando Solorio, 20, of Ceres, be arrested for battery. He was arrested for battery and possession of methamphetamine.

Police also arrested neighbor David Murphy, 20, of Ceres, for attempting to hide Solorio in his house. Murphy gave false information to police officers and also had an outstanding warrant issued by Modesto Police for a prior DUI.
