Gun used in 7-Eleven robbery

A man who held a nickel-plated handgun at a store clerk made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Herndon Road 7-Eleven early on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Police were called at 12:57 a.m. when the robber fled the store onto northbound Herndon. Officers scoured the area but did not find the suspect, who was described as being in his late teens or early 20's, white or light-skinned Latino, 6-foot-2 and skinny. The robber was wearing a grey-colored sweatshirt , a bandana over his face and gloves on his hands.
