A Sunday evening traffic stop made by Ceres Police in the area of Whitmore Avenue and Ninth Street resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Hayward man wanted for a court date and a felony charge.

At 10:33 p.m., Officer Krandall Vandagriff stopped a silver-colored Lexus sedan for vehicle code violations and quickly learned that passenger Demetrius Simmons had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
