Reports of a man behaving as though he were on drugs or intoxicated resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Hector Valtierra, 20, of Ceres, on charges of possession of a controlled substance on Thursday.

A 12:51 a.m. police were dispatched to the AM/PM Mini-Mart at Ninth Street and Whitmore Avenue where Officer Eric Gallegos found Valtierra. The subject admitted having methamphetamine in his pocket. It was retrieved and Valtierra went to jail.
