Burglary charges are pending a 35-year-old Turlock man who is accused of stealing tools from the Ceres Home Depot store on Hatch Road.

Turlock parolee Michael Foulks, 35, was arrested on Wednesday morning, Nov. 11 and charged with burglary, violation of his parole terms and a felony warrant for his arrest issued by Manteca Police Department.

At 10:42 a.m., Officer Jeffery Godfrey was sent to the Home Depot for a theft in progress. A loss prevention officer saw Foulks enter the store, conceal tools in a bucket and leave the store without paying for them. Foulks then got in a Jeep and drove to the south side of the parking lot and parked where he changed clothing and walked back into the store. The officer arrived and watched the Jeep from a distance while Officer Godfrey obtained information from the employee.

After a few minutes, Foulks walked out of the store to the Jeep. Officers made contact with the suspect and located the stolen tools inside the bucket inside the Jeep. Loss prevention positively identified Foulks as the man who stole the merchandise.
