Ceres Police have arrested a Turlock man who they say participated in a Ceres home invasion robbery that occurred in the 1000 block of Winepress Lane early Saturday, July 30.

Ronald West, 55, of Turlock, was arrested Tuesday morning in Turlock after detectives identified him as one of three armed men who entered the home through an unlocked back sliding glass door and held three occupants at gunpoint. Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jose Berber said the 25-year-old male homeowner was held at bay with his 13-year-old brother and 15-year-old cousin. It was reported that they demanded his cell phone and when he said he didn't have one they searched for and took two TV sets. Sgt. Berber said the thieves deliberately shattered a third TV set on the floor of a bedroom.

The break-in was reported at 6:24 a.m.

As the suspects fled the home, the homeowner caught a glimpse of small red-colored car leaving the area.

Detectives were able to locate and recover one of the TV sets that were taken.

West was charged with committing a home invasion robbery.
