A 38-year-old Hughson man who was pulled over in the 2100 block of Mitchell Road for traffic violations ended up going to jail Wednesday evening, Oct. 27 on drunken driving charges.

At 10:52 p.m. Officer Aaron Pinon stopped a blue-colored Lincoln Navigator and observed that driver Jose Vargasgonzalez appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. After conducting a DUI investigation, Vargasgonzalez was arrested for DUI. 

Vargasgonzalez gave a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol content was over double the legal limit to drive.
