Police were unable to find a suspect who reportedly stole another man’s bicycle on Mitchell Road at knifepoint on Tuesday morning, Aug. 22.

The victim called police at 9:06 a.m. and said he was accosted by a white man who punched him and demanded the bicycle. The suspect, described as about 6-foot-tall, and weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair, produced a six-inch folding knife and threatened to stab the victim if he didn’t surrender the gray Huffy mountain bike valued at $50. Wearing a black and orange San Francisco Giants hooded sweatshirt, the suspect then left, dragging the stolen bicycle south on Mitchell Road.

The victim was not seriously injured during the robbery.
