Local jailed for brandishing knife

Justin Adams, 27, of Ceres, was arrested and charged with brandishing a knife and making terrorist threats in connection with an incident on Wednesday afternoon, July 26.

Officers responded to a 911 call placed at 12:41 p.m. from the area of Richland Avenue and Hatch Road for a report of an argument where a man had brandished a knife and threatened to kill the other person.

Adams was found by police near an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Richland Avenue. The victim positively identified Adams as the suspect and he was arrested and taken to jail. The knife was recovered after a search of the apartment where the suspect was located.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
