A Modesto teenager was arrested for drunken driving Thursday evening after leaving the scene of a crash into a pole moments prior.

The crash occurred at 8:50 p.m. in the 3100 block of Malik Drive. Police received a call about men fighting over the crash and a citizen reported the driver took off in a black Jeep southbound on Malik Drive. Officers located the suspect, Brandon Santana, 19, of Modesto, a few blocks away in the damaged vehicle.

Santana appeared intoxicated and refused a field sobriety test so he was arrested for DUI.
