Brian Gomes, 28 of Modesto was arrested by Ceres Police early Monday for keeping a gun in his car when he isn’t allowed to own one.

Officer Kevin Roseen was on patrol in the area of Hatch Road and Mitchell Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. when he located Gomes sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle. Officer Roseen spotted a gun in the vehicle and learned that Gomes was prohibited from owning or possessing any firearms. He was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
