A 28-year-old man from Modesto was arrested for felony vandalism after he allegedly punched and kicked the glass doors of the AM/PM gas station at Whitmore Avenue and Ninth Street early Tuesday, Oct. 3.

At 2:32 a.m., Officer Charles Lord-Huff was patrolling the area when he saw Nicolas Santibanez, 28, of Modesto punching and kicking the front doors of the store until he broke the glass, causing approximately $3,000 in damage. Santibanez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for felony vandalism and violating the terms of his probation.
