Alejandro Serrato, 38, of Ceres was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and parole violations after someone called police on Tuesday, March 10 to report that he was passed out in the driver seat of his pickup.

A concerned citizen called police at 5 a.m. about Serrato who was in the 1400 block of Angie Avenue.

Officer Eric Gallegos contacted Serrato and while checking him for his identification, located a small plastic bindle of suspected methamphetamine. Serrato admitted ownership of the narcotics. Serrato was on parole.
