Man flees from crash but is arrested
Ceres Cop Car

Riding bicycles on the wrong side of the road in the dark hours of early morning prompted Ceres Police Officer Krandall Vandagriff to make a bike stop which yielded stolen property on a woman.

Vandagriff spotted the man and woman riding on Brickit Court at 12:53 a.m. on Tuesday morning, July 12. The woman, Elizabeth Huston, 41, of Ceres, was on probation and had a warrant for her arrest. During a search of Huston, the officer found several credit cards, social security card and license that did not belong to her. Huston was also found with a meth pipe in her purse.

The man she was with was not arrested.

After Huston was taken to jail Officer Vandagriff contacted the property owner who said she was unsure if her purse was stolen at Walmart or if it fell out of the baby stroller.

Huston was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen or misappropriated lost property, and a warrant issued by CPD for drug possession of drug paraphernalia.
