A 53-year-old Wix Lane man was arrested on Tuesday evening, Dec. 27 for possession of methamphetamine and felony probation violation after neighbors reported he was screaming uncontrollably at them.

Officer Michael Vierra was dispatched to 2808 Wix Lane at 9:54 p.m. in regards to Willam Sallee, 53, of Ceres, who was outside running around uncontrollably screaming at neighbors. At first Vierra did not find Sallee but then checked the backyard and saw Sallee peering over into a neighbor's residence. Sallee was on searchable probation for possession of narcotics so a search was done on his room, which contained a ripped white plastic bag containing a crystal like substance that appeared to be methamphetamine.

Sallee told police that he was not under the influence of methamphetamine but that he had been using the drug for approximately half his life. He said the drugs in his room did not belong to him.

Sallee was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail without incident.
