Samuel Fontana, 59, of Modesto found himself behind bars Monday morning after he was picked up on a felony warrant for his arrest to stand trial for burglary.
At 7:51 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Nick Welsh was patrolling the area of Ceres River Bluff Regional Park when he spotted a white Toyota pickup truck parked near the bathrooms. He recognized the truck as belonging to Fontana who was wanted for burglary. Officer Welsh saw Fontana standing near the front of the pickup and made contact with him.
Once the warrant was confirmed, Officer Welsh arrested Fontana and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
