David Richardson, 56, of Ceres, was arrested for shoplifting in Walmart Sunday afternoon as he was recently released on bail.

Walmart loss prevention officers called police at 1:25 p.m. to report a shoplifter in custody. Richardson first gave a false name to officers. A search of his clothing turned up narcotics.

Richardson, who had 11 outstanding warrants for his arrest including out-of-state warrants, was arrested and charged with theft, possession of narcotics, giving a false name to police and the warrants.
