Details are sketchy regarding the Sunday shooting of a Ceres man who was rushed to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred in the county island near Solar Avenue and Moon Lane at approximately 1 p.m.

The victim flagged down a passing female motorist who called 911 for help.

In another unrelated Sunday case, Ceres police William Hodgson, 55, was arrested early morning after he was visited by Officer James Riley during a probation search and found to be in possession of an ounce of methamphetamine.

Hodgson was sitting on the front porch when Riley found him at 2:30 a.m.
