A man who was on probation and riding his bicycle was stopped by an officer on Jan. 4 and found to be with a small bag of methamphetamine.

At 4:42 p.m. Officer Justin Canatsy was patrolling the area of Richland and Nadine avenues when he spotted Raymond Padilla, 35, of Ceres, who he recognized as being on searchable probation. Canatsy made a stop and searched Padilla who had the drug. He was issued a cited for possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation, and released.
