A woman who was screaming at customers of the Starbucks at 1427 Herndon Road was arrested by Ceres Police Friday morning because she was in possession of methamphetamine.

Officer Billy Carter was dispatched at 10:28 a.m. to find the woman, later identified as Delia Bassifield, 46, of Modesto. As he rolled to the scene another caller reported Bassifield had pulled down her pants and exposed herself to employees at a different nearby business. Carter located Bassifield on the south side of the business but she took off running toward Hatch Road. Other officers responded and were able to detain her on Hatch Road near Kmart.

Bassifield initially provided a false name. She was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe, netting her charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstructing a peace officer.
