Meth taken in traffic stop
Ceres Cop Car

A traffic stop made on a black Ford Fusion on Herndon Road at Panero Road on Saturday evening netted drugs and a glass meth pipe and an arrest of the driver.

Officer Krandall Vandagriff was patrolling the area at 9:46 p.m. and stopped the vehicle. Driver
Brandon Brockett, 40, of Modesto was on searchable probation. During the search a clear plastic baggy containing a white crystal like substance which appeared to be crystal methamphetamine was removed. Officer Kiashira Ruiz brought her canine Leo to sniff the Ford for any additional narcotics. The dog found a glass pipe with white residue and another plastic baggie containing methamphetamine.

Officer Vandagriff along with other officers took Brockett to his residence in Modesto to conduct a probation search. The search did not yield any additional contraband.

Brockett was transported to the Stanislaus County Jail where he was booked for possession of a controlled substance and probation violation.
