OCCUPANT IN CAR STOP ARRESTED ON WARRANT
A 40-year-old Ceres woman riding in a car pulled over for vehicle code violations on Tuesday evening, Sept. 15 was arrested for a warrant.
At 9:23 p.m., Officer Greg Houser was patrolling the area of Mitchell and Nicholas roads when he stopped the driver of a Dodge Journey for vehicle code violations. Officer Houser made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, one of which was Debra Trogdon.
Through a records check, it was determined Trogdon had a felony warrant for her arrest related to a prior vandalism. She was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
MAN, 50, BOOKED ON THEFT WARRANT
An alert Ceres Police officer spotted a pedestrian early Thursday morning whom he recognized wanted for theft charges and swooped in to make an arrest.
Walter Jordan, 50, of Modesto, was spotted by Officer Romy McClain walking in the area of Hatch Road near Pearson Avenue at approximately 12:51 a.m. Officer McClain knew him to have a felony warrant for his arrest related to theft so he placed him under arrest for the warrant and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
CITIZEN REPORTS OF DRUNKEN DRIVER ENDS IN ARREST
Eduardo Manzo Ochoa, 52, of Ceres was taken into custody Friday evening after a citizen reported suspicions of him driving drunk down the road.
At approximately 8:57 p.m., Ceres Police officers responded to the area of Hatch Road and Richland Avenue for the report of a possible DUI driver. The caller advised a white-colored Dodge Ram was swerving in and out of traffic. Officers located the vehicle on Hatch Road near Mitchell Road. A traffic stop was conducted on Manzo Ochoa who displayed the signs of being under the influence of alcohol, prompting a DUI investigation. Manzo Ochoa participated in a series of field sobriety tests which he performed in a manner consistent with someone under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI and provided breath samples that were three times the legal limit to drive.
Manzo Ochoa was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
Ceres Police noted that there were 15 total DUI arrests during the reporting period of Sept. 15-21.
