Parolee on bike arrested for meth sales

A 41-year-old Ceres parolee was arrested during a Monday evening, Oct. 17 stop of his bicycle and found with methamphetamine he was believed to be selling.

At 10:12 p.m. Officer Eric Souza stopped bicyclist Esteban GoDoy for traffic violations at Don Pedro and Collins roads. GoDoy provided Officer Souza a false name but admitted to possessing methamphetamine in his pocket. A search turned up the suspected methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia and paraphernalia to establish he was selling the drug. GoDoy’s true identity was learned and that he was wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a parole violation. 

GoDoy was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the arrest warrant, giving false identifying information to a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine for sale and possessing drug paraphernalia.
