Robert Paul Adkins

A 46-year-old Turlock man who was released on parole went back to jail on Saturday evening because of new warrants for his arrest. Robert Paul Adkins also gained a new charge of lying to the arresting officer about his true identity.

At 11:39 p.m., Officer Kao Saechao was in the area of Mitchell and Hatch roads, looking for a suspect involved in a theft. The officer contacted Adkins whose clothing description matched the suspect being sought. Adkins gave the name of someone else but Officer Saechao learned his true name and that he was a parolee at large along with a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Adkins was later booked on the warrants, along with the charge of giving police a false name.
