Police Sgt. Pat Sullivan arrested a man on Sunday evening who was allegedly seen moments prior stealing items from the Walmart store.

At 7:45 p.m. the store called police to report that they interrupted a theft. A "be on the lookout for" the suspect was issued after he dropped items - including bed sheets and soda - while fleeing the store.

Sgt. Sullivan captured William Lucas, 56, of Modesto, near the Jack in the Box west of Walmart. He was charged with felony theft with prior convictions for the same crime.
