A 39-year-old homeless man who was sitting in front of a room of the Howard Johnson Inn was arrested Friday morning after police learned of a warrant issued for his arrest by the California Department of Corrections.

Officer Brian Chandler was dispatched at 9:21 a.m. to the motel in the 1600 block of Herndon Road to investigate and found Martin Green, 39 as reported.

The parolee was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
