Police chase ends in Ceres with womans arrest
Ceres Cop Car

A woman was arrested in Ceres on July 1 after leading police on a pursuit that started out in Turlock.

At approximately 11:53 a.m. Turlock Police requested the assistance of Ceres officers in the pursuit of a white Dodge Charger that was reported stolen. The request was made as the chase came into Ceres. Ceres Police took over the pursuit in the area of Whitmore and Moore roads. The pursuit ended when driver Yesenia Cuyno, 37, of Modesto, became stuck in heavy traffic on northbound Mitchell Road at Hatch Road. Ceres police were able to box in the Charger and its driver to prevent her escape. When Cuyno refused to get out of the car an officer broke out the driver's side window of the car and took her into custody.

Cuyno was then turned over to the Turlock Police Department.
