A man who was hiding behind a pillar in front of a closed business in the 2900 block of Hatch Road early Friday later proved to be wanted for a prior At 3:41 a.m. Officer Nicolas Welsh was patrolling the Hatch Road business district when he saw a shadowy figure, later identified as Enrique Camacho Jr., 39, of Modesto, appearing to be hiding. When Officer Welsh pulled into the parking lot to investigate Camacho peddled away on a bicycle which had no lights for night riding as required by law. Stopping him for the violation, the officer ran a warrant check to reveal Camacho had a felony warrant issued by the Sheriff Department for a prior charge of bringing drugs into jail. Camacho was arrested and was booked.
