Police seek man who attempted to rob Burger King
Ceres Cop Car

Police are hoping that the public can tip them off as to the identity of a man who staged a would-be armed robbery of Burger King at 2732 Mitchell Road on Christmas Eve.
The robbery occurred at 7:24 p.m. and was not successful because the female clerk who was ordered to hand over cash did not comply and walked back to the manager's office.

Witnesses said a Hispanic male wearing a Raiders jacket walked into the restaurant where he ordered and paid for a hamburger. As he was receiving his change he whipped out a black handgun and ordered the clerk to give him the cash. Undaunted, the clerk closed the register and walked back to the manager's office and called police. The suspect left without any money.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call Ceres Police detectives at 538-5727.
