Ceres Police are looking to arrest Ricardo Martinez, 27, of Modesto, because they believe he was the one who repeatedly struck a Blue Horse Lounge patron in the head with a pool cue on Aug. 27.

The victim sustained significant head injuries during an altercation that occurred before 1 a.m. The victim was bleeding profusely after being struck numerous times, said Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Greg Yotsuya. He was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.

Before police arrived, Martinez fled the scene the bar, located at 3018 E. Service Rd., Suite 108.

Police plan to charge Martinez with assault with a deadly weapon if they can find him.
