A man carrying two weapons and a variety of suspicious items indicating he was up to no good was arrested by Ceres Police as he strolled down Hatch Road on Thursday afternoon.
At 2:50 p.m. officers spotted Ivan Serrano, 33, of Ceres, carrying two bags as walked in the road and impeding traffic. Officers Kyle Morris and Hector Pulido made their way to Serrano as he walked into the Carl’s Jr. and then quickly exited out the side door. Officers stopped Serrano in the parking lot.
He appeared nervous and stated he was in a hurry before he bolted on foot. After a short chase, Serrano was arrested. He was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine glass pipe. Inside the bags police found a loaded short-barreled pistol grip shotgun, shaved keys, black rubber gloves and a mask.
Serrano was booked for obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a loaded firearm by a felon and several other weapons and probation violation charges.
