A 38-year-old Turlock man was arrested Tuesday evening, Feb. 9 after a Ceres Police officer spotted him prowling behind the closed In-Shape City gym building and was found wanted on two warrants.

At 5:44 p.m., Officer Christian Izquierdo was patrolling the 1700 block of Mitchell Road when he noticed Steven Swafford, 38, of Turlock, prowling around behind the building and then attempted to hide from the officer in the darkness. Swafford complied when the officer ordered him to show himself. Swafford had two felony warrants for his arrest issued by the Turlock Police Department and was arrested.
