Reckless driving case ends in arrests of driver, passenger

Quentin Mabrey, 26, of Ione and passenger Victoria Stanfill of Galt were arrested on different charges in a Sunday car stop.

Two visitors to Ceres were arrested Sunday evening after their car was pulled over for reckless driving.

At 8:47 p.m. Officer Jon Blount was on patrol in the 1500 block of Mitchell Road when he saw a BMW being driven recklessly and attempted to pull it over. The driver, Quentin Mabrey, 26, of Ione led Officer Blount and other officers on a pursuit until he finally pulled over on Riverside Drive in Modesto. 

Mabrey was arrested for evading a peace officer with a vehicle, driving recklessly, and violating parole.

Passenger Victoria Stanfill of Galt was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, and was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
