Road rage ends in assault, arrest
Ceres Cop Car

Frank Fontana, 59, of Ceres, will have to answer in court why he started beating on another driver he assaulted during a Tuesday, April 10 incident of road rage at the intersection of Blaker Road and Whitmore Avenue.

The crime was reported at 7:03 p.m.

A 38-year-old man said he was driving northbound on Blaker Road from Hackett Road when he saw a white SUV tailgating him. When the victim stopped at the red light at Blaker Road and Whitmore Avenue, Fontana allegedly jumped out of his white SUV, opened the victim's door and began punching him numerous times in the head while telling him he needed to drive faster. The victim blocked the punches and ordered Fontana to stop. Fontana got back in his SUV and fled the scene. The victim took a picture of Fontana's vehicle, license plate, and of Fontana flipping him off.

Officer Kevin Sakasegawa conducted follow up and tracked down Fontana at a nearby business. Fontana admitted to the assault and was arrested for misdemeanor battery. Due to medical issues Fontana was cited and released.
