A 45-year-old San Jose man was arrested Monday afternoon as he was attempting to break into the home of his estranged wife in the 2000 block of Evans Road.

At 1:18 p.m., Officers Tony Scopesi and Gloria Blakeslee were dispatched to the home where they located Gilberto Ochoa trying to get into the home. The victim told police that she had been separated from Ochoa for some time and that she had a restraining order against him.

Ochoa was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the charges of burglary and violation of a court order.
