Security check results in arrest
Ceres Cop Car

A 36-year-old Ceres woman was arrested on a Merced County Sheriff's Department warrant Feb. 7 after police were called to check on her.

At 10:16 a.m. Ceres Police Officer Brian Petersen was dispatched to the woman's home in the 2200 Panero Way after some asked for a security check since she had been up the last five days. Petersen found there was a felony warrant for Tamera Riddle Borges, 36, of Ceres. He arrested and booked her into the Stanislaus County Women's Jail but Merced County was expected to extradite her.
