A 33-year-old Ceres man was arrested Saturday morning when he was recognized by Ceres Police Detective Brian Peterson as wanted on a felony warrant and also failing to register as a sex offender.
At 5:20 p.m., Peterson was on patrol when he recognized Markous Rouner, 33, of Ceres, who was walking eastbound over the Service Road freeway overpass. He approached Rouner who lied about his true identity. Rouner was arrested and searched and found with two small bags of methamphetamine.
Rouner was booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for failing to register as a sex offender, a felony warrant for vehicle theft, providing a false name to officers and possession of methamphetamine.
