Royce Hollister, 24, of Patterson, was arrested Sunday evening after he allegedly pulled a knife on a store loss prevention officer who attempted to stop him during a shoplifting incident.

Walmart's loss prevention officer told police that Hollister tried to leave through the fire exit with a cart full of merchandise but an attempt to stop him outside was met with a physical struggle and brandishing of a knife before he took off running.

Officer Kiashira Ruiz arrived first and spotted the suspect near Starbucks and arrested him. He was found with the knife in his pocket and booked into the Public Safety Center for robbery and brandishing a weapon.
