Short chase ends in arrest

A 28-year-old Ceres man was arrested Sunday morning after he ignored an officer attempting to stop him for a vehicle violation.

At 4:30 a.m. Officer Brian Albonetti turned his patrol car red lights on Samuel Hernandez but the driver kept going. The parolee finally was stopped in the2600 block of Moore Road where he was arrested for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and obstructing or delaying an officer. Hernandez also had warrants for his arrest for a prior similar incident of running from police.
