Sleeping parolee arrested
Ceres Cop Car

A 30-year-old transient who was sleeping behind the AM/PM at Hatch Road and Richland Avenue early Monday was found to be a wanted parolee.

Officer Kevin Sakasegawa was driving in the area at 1:07 a.m. when he saw Christopher Smith apparently sleeping behind the store. The officer went to check on him and learned Smith was wanted. Smith was arrested and booked into the County Jail for being a parolee at large.
