Police have arrested a suspect in Jan. 23 wounding of a man in southwest Ceres.

Sgt. Jason Coley said Ceres Police dispatchers received multiple 9-1-1 calls at 9:19 a.m. about a shot in the 3800 block of Lexar Avenue. Police found a man shot in the leg on the sidewalk.

Police identified Satprit Singh, 33, of Turlock, as the gunman. He was arrested that day and booked for attempted murder and robbery.
