A Riverbank teenager was arrested for driving while under the influence of marijuana and anxiety medication Xanax and crashing into another vehicle on Hatch Road on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 21.

Ceres Police officers were in the 1300 block of Hatch Road dealing with a vagrant at 12:39 p.m. when they heard screeching tires and a crash. They investigated and found a damaged yellow Chevy Cobalt with steam coming from the engine compartment. The other vehicle had fled the scene westbound on Hatch. It was determined that Tanner Porter-Brown, 19, of Riverbank, the driver of the Cobalt, had caused the accident. Police arrested and charged Porter-Brown for DUI.
