Two teenagers who were found sleeping in the western alcove of the Ceres Unified School District headquarters building on Sunday morning were arrested for different charges.

Officer Keith Griebel was patrolling the area at 7:42 a.m. and spotted the two teens sleeping in the alcove. A 16-year-old Ceres boy was arrested for active juvenile probation for grand theft.

The 17-year-old girl first gave police a false name. When the officer found a piece of mail on her and read her real name she reportedly became hysterical and combative. The girl kicked Griebel in the chest. She was physically restrained and handcuffed. When she was placed in the patrol car she began to bang her head on the Plexiglas partition.

Police cleaned up the area since the two left trash on the ground.
