Teens cited for vandalism
Ceres Cop Car

A 14-year-old Ceres boy and a 15-year-old Modesto boy were cited on Dec. 21 for vandalizing Christmas decorations in the front yard of a home in the 1900 block of Jewel Street.

An officer was on patrol at 1:46 a.m. when he came upon a home where someone was darting from the front lawn to a green-colored four-door Honda parked in front of the driveway. The officer noticed a homemade Christmas sign, decorated with lights, completely destroyed in the yard where the juvenile had been. The officer stopped the Honda which contained six boys, aged 14 to 16.

Two of the boys were singled out as the culprits while the four remaining teenagers were released.

The two suspects were released to their parents with a citation to Juvenile Probation for vandalism.
