Three booked for arson
Ceres Cop Car

Three Ceres teenagers were arrested and booked for felony arson after allegedly setting a small vegetation fire at Service Road and El Camino Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

Police were dispatched at 1:15 p.m. after seeing the fire and giving a detailed description of three males fleeing the scene and headed eastbound on Service Road.

As Ceres firefighters extinguished the fire, Officer Mike searched for the suspects in the area of Service and Mitchell roads and spotted them in the field east of the AM/PM. Arrested were Tommy Connelly, 19, Jordan Hawn, 18, and Favian Ramirez, 19, all of Ceres. Ramirez had a lighter in his pocket. The witness positively identified all three as being involved.

During interviews with the suspects it was determined that all three of them were present during the ignition of the fire, knew about the fire, and made no attempt to extinguish the fire or call for help.

All three were booked for arson.
