Three juvenile boys were arrested Wednesday, Jan. 24 for allegedly attempting to steal and burglarize cars at two locations in Ceres.

Ceres Police say two of the suspects were Ceres boys aged 15 years and one was 14 from Modesto.

Officers were dispatched at 10:31 a.m. to a home in the 3800 block of Gaza Avenue for a report of three juveniles attempting to burglarize a vehicle. Officers learned that the incident occurred an hour prior and that the three fled the scene. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the involved juveniles.

While officers were taking the burglary report, at approximately 10:42 a.m., a caller in the 3900 block of Harvestwood Circle reported three boys attempting to burglarize another vehicle and ran from the scene. Officers found all three and learned that during the initial burglary, the suspects attempted to steal a red Kia Soul but were unsuccessful.

All three juvenile males were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on charges of attempted burglary, attempted auto theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
