Toy gun leads to drug arrest in Roeding Heights Park

Reports of a man with a gun in Roeding Heights Park on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 9 led to the discovery of drugs on the suspect.

Police were called to the park at 7:39 p.m. in search for a man with a handgun. Officers arrived and located Julio Sarabia, 43, of Ceres. He was cooperative and allowed a search. Officers found a meth pipe in his pocket and a toy gun was located near the restrooms where he had been seen earlier. Sarabia was arrested and booked for possession of a small amount of methamphetamine found in his wallet.
