Ceres Cop Car

When a Ceres Police officer pulled over a vehicle with missing license plates on Dec. 23 the driver ended up going to jail on multiple felony charges.

Travis Ray Chabino, 36, of Turlock, was pulled over at 1:06 a.m. at Park and Seventh streets. Chabino told the officer he did not possess a driver's license. A vile containing suspected heroin liquid and a key ring with several shaved keys were found in a backpack behind the driver's seat. A baggie believed to contain methamphetamine was located in Chabino's pocket during his arrest.
